If you are still using outdated platform for using whatsApp, then it's time to upgrade to latest one because after 30 June, what's app will not supported for Blackberry OS, Blackberry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia S60. Support for Android 2.2 Froyo, iOS 6 and windows phone 7 was ended by whatsApp in December last year.
Last year whatsApp had decided to end the support of few old platforms, but then company extended to June 2017 because Blackberry expressed their disappoint with whatsApp decision.
In the support page of WhatsApp, it says "These platforms don't offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app's features in the future. If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer OS version, or to a newer Android running OS 2.3.3+, iPhone running iOS 7+, or Windows Phone 8+ so that you can continue using WhatsApp."
Facebook recommends, to people if they wanted to continue chatting with their friends via whatsApp then they have to upgrade their platform or newer device.
WhatsApp also clarifies that, users cannot transfer their chat history to other platform but if user wants then they can get it via their email. You can go to WhatsApp support page to better understand the steps.
WhatsApp was launched in late 2009, until that time whatsApp were used only 25%.
